A "Pet Class" is a character class that have non-player helpers of any form. In Hellgate: London there are two pet classes: Summoner and Engineer. The Summoners are of the Cabalist faction and use ancient magic to summon and control demons to fight for them, while the Engineers are of the Hunter faction and build their robots ("drones") to aid them in combat.
