Zombie Lord

Zombie Lords have been showing up in screenshots since late 2006, and while we noticed the large zombie with the transparent skull and orange brain and occasional very long tongue, we didn't pay them too much mind. It turns out that they've got a fairly yucky special power, though.

Special: Raises new zombies. Enhances zombies in unknown fashion.

"The Zombie Lord both raises and enhances the undead to fight against the heroes. The manner in which he does this, though, is downright creepy. And the players have to focus their attentions on the Zombie Lord because he’ll keep raising new recruits if you simply focus on his minions. And since the experience gained from destroying them is negligible, their master is really the one that needs putting down."

It seems clear from what Bill's saying that their long tongue somehow factors into their "downright creepy" raising and enhancing of the lesser zombies. Yum!

Note: They do not ressurect zombies, they summon new ones.. and quickly, the summoned ones denoted by a light blue name. They "Grow" their zombies, and if two summoners are together, they will grow each other. Aside from hitting harder and being taller I found the enhancements to do nothing. It's trouble if you group a bruiser with a summoner however, massive damage.
