XM55 20mm Rifle

Instantly recognizable to any Marksman, the XM55 is a slightly better version of their starting weapon. It has a respectable damage output for the early parts of the game, but also possesses a worrying accuracy, which is particularly hard on new players without the means of compensating for it through stat points or gear. Liberal use of tactical stance is recommended to make sure all 300 rounds per minute hit their intended target.
The next step up from this particular rifle is the XM57 25mm Rifle, although the large level gap between the two may push some players to switch damage types to a different rapid fire solution in the meantime.
