Cluster Rifle

So which Hellgate: London weapons do Flagship employees prefer to wield against unending waves of demons when it comes to blows?

Since "bleeding all of 'em" is hardly a decisive answer, we decided to detail a few of the weapons we enjoy using on a regular basis in our game. Because enjoyment is prone to change with the coming of every new day, we'll regularly update with further looks at the other weapons we like to kill things with. Today it'll be the Cluster Rifle, because sometimes you just need to blow some damn fool's head off...while maybe taking a couple of his friends down with him.

ID: Cluster Rifle Category: Rifle Modifications: 1 fuel/1 batt/1 relic/1 tech/3 rockets Death By: Physical (Direct & Splash) Description: The Cluster Rifle is one of the standard -- but highly flexible -- weapons in the battle against the demons. The oversized barrels allow for large caliber, high explosive missiles to be launched at a sustained rate of fire. With correct tactical choices in terms of rocket arrays, this weapon can be utilized equally well against a wide variety of targets.

In practice, Cluster Rifles are used as long range support and suppression weapons. They are especially effective at dispersing groups of middling enemies prone to bunching in groups, such as zombies. Upon impact, each Cluster Rifle round explodes into several distinct projectiles that speed into nearby hostiles. Thus, Cluster Rifles can be extremely lethal when aimed at flocks of low-level aerial foes, like the Soul Reaper.
