Trident Launcher

This portable missile launcher launches up to a trio of high-explosive projectiles that can strike a single or multiple targets depending upon the range at which it is fired. Named after the fabled weapon of the Greek god Poseidon, the Hindus call the trident the trishul which is associated with Shiva, and is a symbolic weapon against evil.

The Trident Launcher fires three very fast, target-seeking missiles with each pull of the trigger. It's one of the most fun weapons to use in the game, giving a mixture of good graphics, fast speed, and solid destructive power. Like potato chips, it's hard to put down once you pick it up.

The Trident Launcher reloads like a pump action shotgun, with a "cha-chunk" sound and arm motion as the character slams back a bolt to chamber more rounds. The missiles even make an appealing shriek as they zoom after their targets at very high speed.

The weapon was mentioned in an early preview, but the writer either had the wrong weapon name, or the Trident Launcher has changed radically during development.

If you're using a souped-up, two-handed trident launcher particle rifle, you'll simply target your enemies (either by pointing your cursor at them or cycling through them with the tab key) and left-click to fire.
