should we unify only to generic|cabalist|templar|hunter ??? how can u discriminate between engineer and marksman armor? and do we want to? Dye kits doesn't seems to be in the right place in my opinion... Crichhhhwwt 17:46, 14 December 2007 (CET)
- The armor pieces (as well as weapons) are restricted to a faction, however, some are intended to be used by classes. This results in 3 different sets of items (take cabalist faction as an example): Caster Armor (for cabalists), Invoker Armor (for evokers), Summoner armor. This information is available in item properties window, in the description. For example, most armors that provide +Minion health for cabalists, is a summoner armor. You can take a look at screenshots for unique items for real examples. That said, I don't necessarily agree or disagree with the categorization as exists on this page. We need to think how people would use this, then decide on how it should be categorized. -- BSTL 18:31, 14 December 2007 (CET)
- yes, i know that but sometimes i for example use armor for the summoner even if i'm a caster just cos i can and don't care if it has bonus for minion cos for example it could have a +5 will thatis more usefull for me.i can imagine that the common user is interested, for example in seeing all the boots his summoner could use to find out the optimal one, this way he should open both summoner and evoker armor, while could be more intuitive as i already wrote to open just cabalist, i would also cut off many useless page and allow to take more care of the remaining.
like someone said one: "simplify, simplify, simplify"Crichhhhwwt 19:07, 14 December 2007 (CET)
- KISS. Keep it Simple, Stupid. I think separating it into class-based lists will only make the table more difficult/annoying to edit in the long run, not to mention a pain to actually navigate. Something with Faction-based sorting per Armor Slot would make it easier to use, I think, even though as BSTL mentioned they can be further broken down into 3 more types per faction. Since for the most part I am guessing that our "item database" will be strictly "base and uniques" with possibly a separate page for modifiers, as opposed to an endless bloat of actual legendaries etc. Uniquely named legendaries ie Shulgoth's Sword of Nightmares would be a different matter altogether. --Mileron 19:56, 14 December 2007 (CET)
It seems like this is a really old, pre-release page created Oct 3 and then not used. I only fixed it because I came across it on another article and I'm anal that way. I think it doesn't work at all for where we are now, regarding armor. --Cydira 21:45, 14 December 2007 (CET)
