Talk:The Deep
From Hellgatewiki.com
Regarding the Laser Sights... On two of my characters now I have had the misplanning fortune of not doing all of the Broker quests up to the point of him not giving any more before continuing in Liverpool.
The first set of Laser Sights you get in Temple Station to explore Aldwych is a "flashlight" set, which projects a narrow white light beam.
The set of Sights that you're given you in Liverpool is a "red light" set, and actually also does work in Aldwych for the Broker quest.
Unfortunately, if you finish The Deep before doing Proximus you'll have to do that quest without the aid of any sort of sight enhancing devices. --Mileron 14:21, 13 December 2007 (CET)
- So you are saying the items are removed after you complete the quest when you have the patches? Interesting. Is The Cleanser removed as well? Which would mean Angel passage is no longer passable. --BSTL 18:01, 13 December 2007 (CET)
- Some items are, yes. I'd need to double-check on my Cleanser, because I know at least two of my 25+ characters still have it. There were a lot of complaints that quest items - ie low-yield warheads, train parts, etc, would get stuck in the character's inventory and not get taken by the quest NPC. So instead of making them destroyable, FSS decided to remove them automatically after a logoff (I think) in Patch 0.5. "Quest items should no longer remain in the player inventory after the associated quest has been completed. Players with old quest items (such as Train Parts) associated with quests they’ve already completed or no longer have should find these items removed upon logging in." So... yeah. --Mileron 21:08, 13 December 2007 (CET)
- I'm pretty sure you get to keep The Cleanser. --Cydira 22:22, 13 December 2007 (CET)
