Modifieres etc

This is a good idea, but do we want to list all rare and legendary items for each category? All <place a ridiculously large number here> of them? Maybe we should change it so that links point to the modifiers that can apply to the item. Just a thought. BSTL 03:11, 9 November 2007 (CET)

--- It's not for all Rares/Legendaries... Jsut the named ones that always have the same modifiers, jsut varying values of those :)

Like quest rewards, Shulgoth named legendaries etc ^^ Thanks for supporting the idea :D -Xodus

I haven't actually played the full game yet, can you give an example? BSTL 03:17, 9 November 2007 (CET)

Well, a good example is Shulgoth's Sword of Nightmares.. Most rares/legendaries spawn with different modifiers in their names, but named items like that sword, always has the same name, and always has the same modifiers to it, only that the modifiers might give for example 41% on one players sword, and 49% on anothers.. It's basically the same with quite afew bossdrops, quest items, even random drops in some cases :) Hope that clarified it for you ^^ -Xodus

So Diablo's "unique" corresponds to "named" here, where "unique" here corresponds to 5 modifiers. Right? BSTL

Well, not really that easy either :S Unique in diablo is equivalent of unique in HGL, named rares/legendaries is kind-of a "new" kind of items so to speak, altough the similarhood of named and unique is there, but it's still the quality of the item(rare legendary) that determines that types, number, quality of modifiers on it :) -Xodus

Then for the clearness perspective, we should have the Normal items and Named items (which can be of 3 different qualities), no? At the very least, the page should say "Names Rare Templar Armor", rather than "Rare Templar Armor". BSTL 17:23, 9 November 2007 (CET)
Yep, that's it :) Sure, I can fix that :)

I'm concidering removing the "Rare" section of all the lists, due to the fact that Rares (even if named) aint as interesting and desireable as Legs/Uniques? What's your opinions on this guys? Regards---Xodusness 16:05, 12 November 2007 (CET)

As I've said before, I think the best way to proceed is to have "Normal" and "Named", then "Named" pages would have items of different qualities. They are not really interesting to everyone, thus they shouldn't be top level pages, but there are a lot of people (collectors) who are interested to see those. In Diablo, one of the things you could do after everything else was to find all unique items. BSTL
Uniques beeing as rare as they are, and the msot "powerful" version an item can have (atm at least) definately deserves it's own section :) And if I remove the rares, then the leg's might aswell stay there on their own since theres no logical place to merge them in? EDIT: Regards---Xodusness 18:52, 12 November 2007 (CET)
The problem is categorization, not an item being "powerful" or exciting. IMO those pages should be arranged as follows (pistol example): "Named Pistols" page which has the following titles (without their own pages) Unique, Legendary, Rare (in decreasing quality?). Anyway I don't mind. I'm just trying this site to be useful, I might not be the "absolute reference of usefulness", but this is my vote. BSTL 19:04, 12 November 2007 (CET)
Vote duely noted, awaiting further opinions :) Regards--Xodusness 19:09, 12 November 2007 (CET)

Categorisation and Structure

Hi! Good work here, I commented some on Xodusness' user talk page. Please continue any discussions here. I also just wanted to point out that you need to start putting these pages in categories, and making easy inter-linking. This page should be in Category:Items at least, for instance. Unsure if it fits Category:Basics. --Leord 19:40, 13 November 2007 (CET)

Uhh, I have no idea what you're trying to tell me about categories :S Like I gave expression for earlier, I'm a 100% newb on wiki :P Took me two days just to figure out, and make the basics to put these pages together hehe ^^ --Xodusness 01:44, 14 November 2007 (CET)
