Background
Stamp's stationing at St. Paul's was voluntary; not all men have been able to cope with the loss of a world once loved.
Now Stamp waits in sorrow for the Gate to consume all. He waits to shed his flesh and rise so that he may walk upon virgin fields, feeling the Creator's warm rain sweep across his spirit, caressing even as it cleanses.
