Russell Square is the starting area for all characters, regardless of class or game type. This area contains the first quest, as well as a few simple Zombies. In addition, the Tutorial Tips will guide players through this area and the basics of game mechanics before they reach Holborn Station.
Russell Square leads to Holborn Station; once the player leaves Russell Square they cannot return.

There are usually enough zombies to grant you just enough experience to reach level 2, though the number varies each time.
Tutorial Tips are automatically activated on the character creation screen when you create your first character, and automatically disabled for all characters created afterwards. These tips are a great way to learn the basics of the game quickly if you've never played before, and will guide you through the area.
After beating the game on Normal Difficulty, you can continue by playing the game in Nightmare Difficulty; this will start you off in Russell Square once again, but with higher level zombies; the quest remains identical.
