Luck in Hellgate: London is more than just a word. You can have items with Luck modifiers, and as far as we currently know, it works similarly to Mythos, the other game by Flagship Studios. The point to use Luck modifiers would be to get more and better loot when playing Hellgate. Luck modifiers are often found on different Mods.

In Mythos, it seemed that once the +luck got into the 5k there was a noticeable difference while in the 10K+ there was a substantial variance to the quality of loot dropping in general. Also +luck affects the chance of barrels and chests dropping anything at all. At +5k in Mythos, most smashed items rewarded loot of some kind.
