The Khar demon was only found in concept art for well over a year; long enough that most figured it was too weird to actually be in the game. That changed in late 2006, when one popped up in a screenshot, looking like a really ugly bearskin carpet. A second shot followed, and there was rejoicing, and a placeholder name assigned. Later information gave us the real name, Khar, and the information that not only are they not dead in these shots, but that they travel on all fours flat to the ground, like inverted scorpions.

Flux dubbed this one "Kuato" in honor of the chest-dwelling mutant guy(s) from the Arnold Schwarzenegger film Total Recall. (Google Kuato results.) There is some resemblance.
