Amazon Basin Podcast Interview

First question: How will different modes of multiplayer be integrated with guilds?
First answer: TBD. Guild support will be in the game in some form, but guilds are not a priority for release.

Second question: When you are in a guild is it just for that one character or for all the characters on your account?
Second answer: Just one character.

Third question: How do you plan on keeping gold/money valuable in game?
Third answer: Good money sinks, making sure there's things to spend money on. (TBD)

Fourth question: How will instances work in Hellgate? Will it be open like Diablo, where anyone partied or not can come into the same area as you, or will it be like GuildWars, where once an instance has been started it is for you and your group alone?
Fourth answer: No random people will be able to come into your instance, but if you want to explicitly invite someone into your group, they can come to the same instance with you.

Fifth question: Will there be some sort of text messages on screen or a journal that keeps track of your progress?
Fifth answer: Majority of the game will be using text, not voice. Most voice will be for the Diablo style "Greetings, friend." from NPCs. They're doing it this way to make translation easier for ongoing content, as it's easier to get translations for a block of text than it is to line up voice actors of various languages to continuously record new sections of voicework.

Sixth question: Will the game's interface be customisable or modifiable in any way?
Sixth answer: No.

Seventh question: There's talk of various modes when playing the game, such as Hardcore, are there any further details on the modes?
Seventh answer: PvP, Hardcore, Regular Co-Op. Specifics can't be announced now because it's still in development and won't be announced any time soon.

Eighth question: Will there be a common stash for all characters?
Eighth answer: Yes.

Ninth question: Will there be player emotes in Hellgate? Are there graphics, audio, text for these?
Ninth answer: Yes. Graphics only at present, no audio/text. May change as development progresses.

Tenth question: Will the "Hell Breath" meter be the same for everybody regardless of level/skill/stats?
Tenth answer: Yes. However there may be items and/or skills that will improve the capacity of the meter. (TBD)

Eleventh question: Is there any way to override the auto/soft aim and select a specific monster? ("... using stun weapons would be counter-productive because, according to Flux, you lose your target when you release the mouse button.")
Eleventh answer: Not right now. There is a "hit box" around monsters and so long as you are aiming within that hit box, you will hit the monster. (ie; there is SOME aiming, but it is very fuzzy.)

Twelfth question: Transformations have been hinted at, are they still in-game?
Twelfth answer: Yes. And they're cool. And they're still working on more kinds of transformations.

Thirteenth question: Will there be a setting for "loot" so your friends can recover your equipment if you die in hardcore mode?
Thirteenth answer: We don't know, but we think so. (TBD)

Fourteenth question: Will there be a way to expand inventory space?
Fourteenth answer: Possibly your "walking around" inventory, but probably not. Possibly your stash, but maybe not. (ie; TBD.)

Fifteenth question: Will there be gambling?
Fifteenth answer: No.

Sixteenth question: Will a dedicated player be able to obtain the most powerful items and complete the entire game solo? Or will you need help from your friends?
Sixteenth answer: "No raid content!" You can play with the same character again through the entire game, or you can just keep playing the various randomly generated missions in the game. (Presumably you will be able to go into a harder difficulty, but this was not explicitly stated.)

Seventeenth question: Will healing be easily received from frequent item drops, or more rare from rare drops or stationary shrines, etc?
Seventeenth answer: TBD. Depends on balance issues.

Eighteenth question: How will the game support people playing multiplayer from different parts of the world? Will there be segregation of regions?
Eighteenth answer: The goal is to have everyone from all regions in the same central server and it will be up to players to decide if they want to put up with high pingers from Zimbabwe, etc.

Ninteenth question: Will there be content designed specifically with groups of players in mind?
Ninteenth answer: No. "No raid content!" But the existing content will scale according to the number of players in the game.

Twentieth question: What is the third class?
Twentieth answer: We haven't announced the third class but it will probably be announced late October/early November in a magazine exclusive. After that you'll be able to play the third class if you're Korean and happen to attend the Korean G-Star event in November.
