Guy Somberg's game career is a scant year old, though he has spiritually been a game developer since the third grade. His first venture into the games industry was in 2004 with an independent game project, under the group moniker of GSD Development, entitled Chess++: The Fog of War for the Gameboy Advance. This project netted him a job writing game code for the GBA at Backbone Entertainment on Dora the Explorer: Super Star Adventures.

Before his game career, Guy spent a miserable two years slogging through the political bureaucracy of a slot machine development company writing Operating System software for slot machines running Linux. Despite the unfortunate setting, it was there that Guy first learned the joy of audio development (when he was graciously allowed to work on the sound server, that is). He is not, however, bitter about it.

Guy attended college at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado, located a scant two blocks from the Coors Brewery. Guy earned the distinction of "Outstanding Graduating Senior" in the Mathematical and Computer Sciences department.

Outside of the office, Guy enjoys Hapkido, playing flute, performing magic (or at least practicing performing magic), and playing violent video games that his mother heartily disapproves of with his friends from out of state.
